Crypto Mining Equipment Sales Down

2017-11-10 • Joe_Coder

Computer Hardware Company Nvidia has reported this week that there has been a major decline in the sale of cryptocurrency related mining products. The company's third-quarter results were released on the 9th, showing revenue dropping from $150 million during the second quarter to $70 million.

Nvidia suggested the decline was a result of the market. Chief financial officer Colette Kress noted that the volatility of the market is also a significant reason for the decline. This report does not affect the companies primary focus, which is the gaming / graphics market.

Chief Executive Jen-Hsun Huang says that they expect Crypto to be a small part of their business for some time.
