It would appear that another exchange is thinking about getting into the Bitcoin futures market. It was reported earlier today from via Bloomberg that the Latin American country's Rofex is focusing on how to offer cryptocurrency futures as part of it's complete collection of offerings for their clients. Head of Rofex Diego Fernandez hinted at making an official announcement by the end of the year.
It is worth noting that Fernandez also made it clear that financial institutions are looking at cryptocurrencies more than ever as an additional stream of income. There is no doubt that there is money to be made here, and everyone wants a piece.
When asked why Rofex is considering adding Bitcoin futures to their list of services, Fernandez responded "because it's our core business". The company will still have to get regulatory approval of course before moving forward.
